The correct design of ceramic based – copper purred modules is one of main issues, to prevent power losses and enable long-life operation. The base of power modules can be 2D or 3D ceramic structure to planarize connection plane and to minimize layer thickness between power element and cooler. Typical materials for base are LTCC ceramics, Alumina and Aluminum Nitride.
